  1. Can this pump still be used to pull water from just a nomilized container tht holds water to powerwash with no problems

    1. This pump can pull water from a tank, but it only produces up to 100 PSI so it would not be the best option for a pressure washer.

  3. What is the prrefered power source, a stand alone 12 VOLT battery or the battery in the ATV?

    1. This pump is designed to be connected to the battery of the utility vehicle the sprayer is mounted on. It can be used with a stand alone battery, but the run time will be affected. Using a 12V battery with a higher amp hour (Ah) rating is recommended for longer spray times.

  4. This will be the third time I've had to replace these pumps. Why do they only last a year???

    1. It is important to clean the pump and decontaminate after use. Drain and flush the pump system before storage to lengthen the life of the pump.

    1. This pump should be not be used with any petroleum based product which includes diesel, gasoline, kerosene and oil.

  8. can this be used to pump isopropyl alcohol? also, can i use a filter inline?

    1. This sprayer pump is not recommended for spraying isopropyl alcohol. An inline filter can be added to this sprayer as long as it does not affect the pressure of the pump.

  10. Does it hurt to run this or any other Northstar 12 V pump vertically as opposed to horizontally?

    1. If mounting the pump vertically, the pump head should be in the down position so that in the unlikely event of a leak the fluid will not enter the motor.
