  1. Does this tank have gallon markings on the side

    1. The markings only go to 24 gallons

    2. Yes! And they are fairly accurate, I tested at 15 gallons and it was right on. Hey, I'm an engineer, inclined to test everything.

    Is the cap a vent for this tank or do you have to install separate vent?

  4. Does the lid have a gasketso it does not leak

    1. Mine is plastic on plastic. No gasket. But, there is a vent hole in the top of lid so technically it can leak although that has never been a problem on mine.

    2. The NorthStar Spot Sprayer Tank does not include a gasket but we do offer one, part number 39268, that can be added to reduce leaking. To order the gasket you will need to contact NorthStar @ 1-800-270-0810.

  5. your 2691-4454 tank

    tank is stamped 24 gal - is that a different tank? Which one do I get if I order by that number?

    2. This sprayer tank holds 26 gallons. There is a line on the side of the tank that reads 24 gallons. The tank holds an additional 2 gallons if you fill it past that line. Item #2691-4454 is this same tank. The item number suffix(-4454) refers to the catalog number that it's listed in.

  6. is it easy to switch the pump from one tank to another?

    I would like to have a separate tank for fertilizer -- would it be easy to switch the pump, wand, tubes between the two tanks?

    1. very simple, 4 screws and its off. but the lines and the pump will still be contaminated with whatever else your using in the other tank

    2. The pump mounting would be the same on both tanks and changing the pump from one tank to the other would be fairly easy. You would need to make sure to have the tubes clear of the other chemical before spraying another kind through it. It might be easier to just have a separate pump on both tanks.

  7. Does this tank have a fitting for a garden hose?

    The 16 gallon tank has a place on the end of the tank to attach a garden hose and I wonder if this tank is the same.

    1. I have both tanks. They are identical except for the vertical dimension. Both have the hose attachment point.

    1. No - it is not a fuel storage tank; in particular there are pre-drilled holes in the tank for mounting sprayer and pump hardware on the top and sides.

  9. Mounting bolt pattern

    What is the bolt pattern for the 6 mounting holes on the bottom?

    1. There are only 4 mounting holes at the outer corners. I made a paper template to drill my holes. Sorry I don't have measurements.

    2. This NorthStar sprayer tank has four mounting holes and the mounting bolt pattern measures 9 inches wide and 19.04 inches long.

  10. For this tank......Is the mounting for the pump the same dimensions (3 1/8 x 2 1/4)? I'm using the 2685561 (5.5 GPM) pump.

    1. The pump mounting pattern is approximately 3.18" top left to top right and 2.25" top right to bottom right.
