  1. Would this haul a 2004 Polaris "Ranger" 500 ?

    1. yes, should hold 2 of them. It's rated at 2000 gvw and the 4 wheeler is only about 700 lbs.

  2. Is this trailer rated for Interstate speeds?

    1. I carry two Outback ATVs at about 1200 lbs and have traveled a few thousand miles at 55-60 and it trails properly. The tires require a higher pressure than some and I keep them at the max pressure.

  6. lug nut torque

    Hi . Just purchased this trailer and was wondering if you could let me know what the lug nuts should be torqued at ? Are they torqued in three stages ? And was wondering what the ft pound total torque was. Thanyou for any info you might have.North Star Trailer Sportstar II ATV Trailer Kit - 5ft. x 9ft.

    1. Tighten the lug nuts to 35 ft. lbs, which is the total ft. pound torque. The first step is to slightly tighten the lug nuts and then cross torque to fully tighten.

  8. Why different weight ratings for the Sportstar II and the Sportstar II WG? Is the GVWR rating for the weight of the trailer and max. cargo combined?

    1. The gross vehicle weight rating for both of the trailers is 2000lbs max. The GVWR is the total weight, including the actual weight of the trailer plus any cargo.
