  1. Thermostat Included...

    Does this mean that the heater is turned off or turned on based on temperature? Or does it mean that the heater stays on all the time but you choose the hi-lo-med setting?

    1. Fully thermostat controlled. The heater cuts back to pilot when it reaches the desired heat setting

    2. The heater pilot will stay lit. The burner will turn on and off based on the selected temperature setting. If the temperature drops below the desired heat level, the burner will turn on. When the temperature reaches the desired heat level, the burner will turn off.

  2. Do the newer models cut back to just pilot light when desired temp is reached and what would be minimum temp it would maintain?

    1. The thermostatic control used modulates the flame size as the temperature gets closer to set point, then it turns off the burner upon
      reaching temperature. The burner will cycle back on when room temperature drops below the set temperature. The control knob can be
      set to any heat level between 1 and 5.

    1. In the initial start up, you may notice some odors as it burns due to manufacturing oils, dust or paint curing on the surface of the unit until it burns off.

  5. What is the ventilation requirements?

    1. The heater has a built in oxygen depletion sensor and draws oxygen directly from the room it is in, adequate ventilation is necessary for proper operation and safety due to the consumption of oxygen while burning propane. If in a small space, you should open a door or window slightly to provide fresh air intake.

  7. I will be using this heater with a 100 lb propane tank, can the included regulator and hose be hooked directly to the 100 lb tank or do I need an additional regulator?

    1. An additional regulator would not be needed to hook up to a 100 pound tank.

  8. how long will this heater last on setting 1 with a 20lb tank

    1. Using a 20 lb. propane tank, the runtime on low is roughly 108 hours and approximately 50 hours on high (about 2-3 times less than the low setting).

    1. The smallest propane tank size this will work with is a 20 pound tank.

  10. Is the temperature control knob continuous variable (as opposed to 3 presets) and will this run off a 20 lb propane tank?.

    1. The control knob would have 1 to 5 settings to set desired temperature. A 20 pound cylinder can be used with this heater.
