This Metaltech Saferstack® Double Lift Scaffold Set provides everything needed to frame a scaffold set. Frames are built with perimeter tubes that are 1 5/8in. 13-gauge steel and interior tubes that are 1in. 16-gauge steel. Pin spacing is 4ft. Each frame includes 8 coupling pins and 8 spring locks. Cross braces are galvanized and frames are powder-coated for corrosion resistance and durability. This set is easy to store and transport. Meets OSHA standards.

    1. The kit includes: (4) 60in. x 60in. frames (4) 10ft. x 4ft. cross braces (8) Coupling pins (8) Spring locks. This does not include the casters (item number 405935) or leveling feet (item number 405937), guardrails or platform (item number 405953) needed to complete the scaffolding. To make the guardrail system for the scaffolding you will need to purchase the post item number 405956 (4), the 120" guardrail item number 405946 (2) and the 60" guardrail item number 405947 (2).

  2. Does Metaltech make a guardrail system for the 10ft long platform like they do the 7ft platforms? I can't seem to find it on your website.

    1. To make the guardrail system for the scaffolding you will need to purchase the post item number 405956 (4), the 120" guardrail item number 405946 (2) and the 60" guardrail item number 405947 (2).

  3. What does it have for a weight rating?? I want to put a 275 gallon IBC water tank on it. 8.34lbs x 275 = 2,293 lbs. ????? Thks!!

  4. What is the difference between a 'single lift' and a 'double lift' as used in your descriptions?

    1. A single lift would be a single scaffold set. A double lift would be two single lift sets stacked as shown in the picture on this item's specifications page.

  5. How many high with these can you go up?

    1 answer

    1. You can go up as high as 55 feet without needing approval from a structural engineer. At 15 feet or above you will need outriggers and diagonal bracing. At 20 feet you would need to set up with wall attachments. You can set them up on casters or leveling jacks up to 30 feet, after 30 feet you can only use with leveling jacks. You would then need to take them down to move to another location.

  6. If you stack 2 units together, what will the actual working height be?

    1. The actual working height would be 10ft, with the 2ft sections stacked. The overall height of the 2 units together would be 11.2ft.

  7. Do these use standard 19”x84” planks?

    1. This unit does use the Metaltech platform, item 405953. This platform size is 84" wide x 19" deep.

    If I am reading this correctly, the four pieces when assembled will have a total height of 10 feet?

    1. When stacked, the two lifts total 10' high. The height will increase if casters like item 405935 or leveling jacks like item 405937 are added. You may view these accessories below.
