I received mine in 3 boxes banded to a pallet - I picked it up at the store and it fit into my Dodge Ram Pickup with 6 ft. bed including a cap with no problems. The person at the loading area used a fork truck and had it into the pickup within a few minutes - Once home I cut the bands and slid each box out separately - making it easy to handle on my own.

safety rails come in four sections the short end sections swing in. i don't know the weight of the plywood and steel platforms but I'm 70 and my wife is 72 and it's easily handleable.

One person can put it together but it is a lot easier with two. I do not think any component weighs over 30 pounds. Putting the second level on can still be done by one person. I just lay the parts across the bottom scaffold and put them up one at a time. The ends hold in place fairly well and you just snap the side rails in place. Two makes it so much easier however.,

Yes, I am 60 years old and had no problem. The platforms are the most heavy at about 40 lbs. Of course you will need someone to hand parts up to you once you are on the top platform unless you wish to climb up and down to attach a rope to the hand rail components.

Are cross braces available?
Are cross braces available or can you add other model cross braces to help study up the scaffolding?

I have several of the Baker-style scaffolds and I have yet to see any cross braces made exclusively for them. I have toyed with trying to find some that could be modified to help reduce movement. So far I have not had any luck. Regular scaffolding is not as long so the braces will not reach across plus the holes are opposite.
