  2. how does dust bag mount?

    It looks like the bag just stuffs in the hole. Wont the dust bypass the edges of the bag?

    1. There is an internal flange that holds it in place making an excellent seal.

    2. The bag itself has a coupler where you insert into the neck of the blower and twist to lock in place and has a rubber seal at the edge to keep material from bypassing.

    1. This dust collector is designed for wood saw dust, but can be used for metal grinding if the grindings are powder-like.

  5. Will this work without the bag on it.  I want to mount it out side the shop and let the chips fly into the woods. Hose ran through the wall.

    1. The dust collector will work without the bag. It is intended to be used indoors and is not recommended to be mounted outside. If mounted outside, it would need to be protected from the elements. It is not weatherproof.

    1. This dust collector comes with a 30 micron bag. There is also a 2 micron bag, model DC040HCF2, available through the manufacturer directly.

    motor amps, impeller diameter, plus inlet and outlet sizes and max static pressure, are critical for dust collector performance. These specs need to be shown for all dust collectors to allow comparison

    1. This Air Foxx Dust Collector will draw 10 amps and has a 10" impeller. The maximum static pressure is 6.75" (inches of water) and the connection size is 4".
