  1. What is the wattage and amperage on 110v for this pump and why is it not potable water safe?

    1. At 120 volts, the pump has a maximum current rating of 22 amps and a power rating of 2600 watts. Due to its cast-iron construction and nitrile rubber seals, it is not suitable for use with potable water.

  3. Can you close the discharge hose valve while the pump is running with out burning up the pump?

    1. It would not be recommended to close the discharge hose valve while the pump is running.

  4. could this pump be used with a pressure switch to fill a pressure tank like a well

    1. The IPT Centrifugal Pump could be used in conjunction with a pressure switch but this pump is not approved for potable water.

  5. would like to use this pump for wash down of concrete equipment .

    can it handle grey water with small particles our tank is filtered but does have a concrete residue left in it.

    1. The pump could handle this as long as you have 85% water and that the solids would be no larger than 3/8". It would be recommended to flush out the pump after this type use to be sure no concrete would set inside the pump.

  6. washing machine wast

    Looking for a pump that can handle laundry washing machine wast. Machine will be placed in basement 8 ft below the wast line having to pump water up to line when machine drains. Can you direct me to a good water sensing pump.

    1. At this time the only pumps that we offer that would turn on automatically when water is sensed are submersible sump pumps with float switch, these pumps are not suited to handle laundry waste water as lint could clog the pump inlet.
