  6. Looking for a pump that could suck water on about a 14' vertical off of a steel floor in a barge. Does this create enough suction to pull water off of the floor or does it have to be submerged in water at all times to keep suction??

    1. The inlet pipe or hose has to be submerged in the water source to maintain suction. A submersible pump like item 42358 would be better suited for the described application.
