  3. Why is the air intake gasket so long, looks like a piece of sandpaper, shouldn't it be cut to size

    1. The air guide used to be a steel metal plate with a fixed gasket. This part now will be a large gasket. It is not recommended to cut the gasket down to size.

    1. To use the engine on a pressure washer, you would need to match up the shaft size and bolt pattern on the pump you are attaching it to and need to know what horsepower the pump requires.

  10. There is a pink hose (looks electrical)coming out under the muffler that is not on the engine I am replacing. Can someone tell me what that is for?

    1. The pink hose is a carburetor drain hose. Carburetors have this just in case the unit is flooded.
