Product Summary

The Hobart Trek® 180 is the first self-contained MIG welding system for applications off the power grid. Includes two internal sealed lead acid batteries and integrated charger that allow welder to be charged completely in 90 minutes and recharged to 80% in 20 minutes, using a 115V outlet. U.S.A.

    1. On this Hobart Trek 180 Battery-Powered/115V Flux Cored/MIG Welder the batteries should last greater than three years, depending on use and care.

  3. does this have the pony gas bottle for gas welding?

    1. This Hobart welder comes with an optional gas hose and regulator for gas shielding. This will not come with a gas bottle.

  4. can this welder be hooked up to additional external batteries for extra weld time

    what is the voltage of the internal batteries? can the unit be charged directly from solar panels?

    1. The 2 12 volt batteries are sealed within the Trek 180. Since they are sealed a solar panel an additional battery could not be used. To recharge to weld another cycle only takes 15 to 20 minutes.
