    1. This HeatStar High-Intensity Infrared Natural Gas Heater can be converted to run on propane with part#00289A, purchased separately from the manufacturer. Northern Tool + Equipment also offers this unit already set up for propane, Item#29131 in the link below.

  2. No Direct Venting required

    Yet, "Vent Free"...."No". Does that mean it has to be vented, or not?

    1. Thank you for your inquiry. The heater itself does not have a direct vent. However, proper ventilation is required to run the heater.

    2. Direct venting is not required. It is not vent free because it is not designed to operate in an enclosed room with no ventilation. There must be some ventilation: This can include fans, exhaust fans, wind, and/or natural ventilation (open space like a patio).

  3. Is this Heater Weather Proof?

    We are looking for a heater to mount on our open air deck. Want to make sure it can be left out in the rain and weather.

    1. This Overhead heater must be removed from the outside elements due to the nature of the tiles and the exposed pilot light.
