Yet, "Vent Free"...."No". Does that mean it has to be vented, or not?

Direct venting is not required. It is not vent free because it is not designed to operate in an enclosed room with no ventilation. There must be some ventilation: This can include fans, exhaust fans, wind, and/or natural ventilation (open space like a patio).

We are looking for a heater to mount on our open air deck. Want to make sure it can be left out in the rain and weather.
