    1. Yes, this will work with a 28" bar. I have a 36" bar and a 25" bar I use with mine depending on how big the log is.

    4. This lumber mill will work with chain saws that have a 36" bar or less. It does require a 70cc or larger engine.

    1. There is no minimum diameter log the chainsaw sawmill will cut. The maximum diameter it can cut is 36".

    1. This requires a 70cc or greater chainsaw, with a bar up to 36" long.

  7. What’s the longest (max) length of a log you can cut?

    1. There is no maximum length log you can cut with this sawmill. The largest diameter log it can cut is 36 inches. You can use the 5 foot, item #11880 and 10 foot, item #70635 sawmill guide rails in any combination with the connector kit, item #11882 to assist in cutting the log length.

  8. With this purchase what accessories are needed? I do not want to get it here and find I have to make other purchases before I am able to make use of the Sawmill. How is that first cut made to get the smooth side?

    1. A rail guide system can be purchased separately. Please see our item #70635 for a 10' option and #11880 for a 5' option.

    1. This can be used with a 20" bar. A smaller portable sawmill is also available, our item #58035. It can be used with chainsaw bars up to 24".

    1. This will work with any size bar up to 36 inches. There is no minimum. The bar clamp and guard is adjustable along the mill support bars to allow the use of smaller chainsaw bars.
