The 12V motor has a 20:1 reduction gearbox that gives Ballscrew actuator a dynamic load rating of 1,000 lbs. and is rated to hold up to 3,000 lbs. when not moving. Use to raise and lower power equipment attachments, auto hoods and trunks, position solar panels, television lifts and many other applications around the home and farm.

    1. The linear actuator has not been tested for this specific application. It would depend on what the dynamic load would be for the gate as to whether it would work to open the gate or not.

  5. Is this ignition protected?

    I have an actuator similar to this in my boat to lift the back sun pad/engine cover. Is this ignition protected to eliminate the chance of explosion/fire in the back hatch/engine area if there are flamable fumes? I really don't want to blow up.

  8. Would this work on a 3 point hitch?

    I am building a 3 point hitch on a lawn tractor that has no hydraulics.

    1. This actuator uses 12 volts for power and does not use hydraulics so keeping in mind it has a dynamic load rating of 1000 pounds, it should work fine.
