  1. How many Decibals does this run?

    1. Generac does not have a decibel rating on the portable generators. There is no industry requirement for the rating on these.

    2. I couldn't find the decibals when I purchased it either, but thought the noise reducing muffler was a positive piece of the description. I couldn't find it in the manual when I received it either. When I turned it on, I was surprised at how loud this generator runs. I have another smaller generator that's really quiet, so I wasn't prepared for this. We can run it away from where our main living area is, so we can deal with it. If you're using it close to work or living, find one to listen to first. It's loud. It's a good generator, easy to set up and operate, priced right, and was delivered on time by friendly delivery. i'm still pleased with my purchase, but just thought it wouldn't be this loud.

  2. What are the electrical specifications?

    What is the most amount of power in amps that I can provide to my house with one wire? i.e. what is the circuit breaker on 240 volts? Is there another way I can get the maximum number of amps to my transfer switch?

    1 answer

    1. The maximum from one cord would be through the L14 locking plug. It will supply 30 amps @ 240 volts. (7200 watts). That would be the best way to connect it to your transfer switch. Also there is more technical information about this unit in the owners manual. The manual is available as a PDF file at the bottom of the product page.
