Product Summary

Higher wattage requirements need larger generators. Generac liquid-cooled models provide whole house backup power and are available for larger residential and light commercial applications. Models run on natural gas or LP gas. Requires Smart Switch or RTS transfer switch (sold separately) U.S.A. Not intended for use as primary power in place of utility or in life-support applications. Read the owner's manual in its entirety before using this product.

    1. We recommend consulting with your local inspector as local codes may vary and will supersede manufacturers recommendations.

    2. We as the manufacturer recommend that the commercial series automatic standby generators, sized 22kW to 150kW, be installed 5 feet from any structure. Per NFPA 37, the minimum distance from the generator to a combustible surface is 5 feet, and the minimum distance from a non-combustible surface is 3 feet. We recommend consulting with your local inspector as local codes may vary and will supersede manufacturers recommendations.

    1. When operating at half load on a natural gas fuel source, Generac’s 30kw automatic standby generator, model number QT03015ANSX, will require 320,000 btu/hr and 5-14” water column. Please note that the gas line should be sized based on the fuel pressure requirements at full load; the unit will require 492,000 btu/hr and 5-14” water column.

    1. The RTSD400A3 Generac RTS Transfer Switch is compatible with the 30kW Generac generator.
      The battery required for this generator is a Group 26, 525 CCA battery. The battery is not included.

  4. What is the average rate of LP gas consumption during operation? How long will a 25 pound tank of LP gas last during operation?

    1. A 25 pound tank should not be used. The generator should be plumbed to youf household's propane/natural gas supply or a bulk storage tank. The operating fuel pressure is 5 in. - 14 in. water column.
      Fuel consumption is as follows (ft3/hr Natural Gas/LPV)
      -Exercise Cycle 56/24
      -At 25% load 209/82
      -At 50% load 281/117
      -At 75% load 360/147
      -At 100% load 437/185
