  1. Even though this is called a "generator" transfer switch, will it work automatically with solar power as backup?

    1. This is only suitable to use with a Generac standby generator.

  2. Does this switch both sides of the 100 amp connection (nominally 50 amp & 50 anp) or does it switch numerous 20 amp individual circuits which total 100 amps or less?

    1. This has a single double pole 100 amp breaker that switches from utility power to generator power. Both poles are switched at the same time when the power switches.

    1. This transfer switch is designed to work with Generac home standby units only. It is not compatible with portable generators.
