Introducing the 27-ton horizontal and vertical hydraulic log splitter. The DK2 POWER OPS227 is driven by a powerful KOHLER SH265 6.5HP 196cc engine. This machine is capable of splitting up to 25.5in. in length and 19.6in. in diameter with uncompromising force at a cycle speed of 13 seconds, all while using the full potential of its 8in. heat-treated steel wedge. The OPS227 sits on a 37in. wheelbase equipped with 16in. O.D. 4.8-8 tires and includes a tow bar for easy job site moving.

  1. Does the splitter come with Hydraulic fluid and engine oil? If not, are they sold at Northern Tool?

    1 answer

    1. The log splitter does not come with hydraulic fluid or engine oil. The recommended hydraulic fluid is an AW32 or AW46. The hydraulic tank will hold approximately 6.5 gallons. The engine oil recommended is 10W30 for general use. The engine oil capacity is 20 ounces. Both items can be purchased through our Northern Tool store locations.
