      1. Bleach can be used with the Delavan Powerflo pumps. There are steps that you will need to do to prolong the life of the pump. 1. Flush out your pump after each use with fresh water for a minimum of 90 seconds. 2. Dilute the bleach. Delavan recommends a concentration of 12%. This is similar concentration in most soft wash applications. 3. Replace the pumps diaphragm every 12-18 months depending on the usage. Or when you see a significant drop in performance.
