Mine did. just as shown in the picture. I had to remove it so that I could use the old one on my riding mower. They tell you to do that in the manual.

Yes it comes with a muffler. I didnt use it. The factory John Deere Muffler on my motor was mounted differently but fit the new engine. So I reused the JD muffler

This Briggs and Stratton Intek vertical OHV engine comes with a float carburetor, so as long as you chose the correct engine, it is basically an install and run. It may be necessary to replace the seals or gaskets.

Does it come with threaded mounting holes on the motor?

No, But I installed M8-1.25 Helicoils to the engine in order to use my original JD LT 160 mounting bolts.

The engine would have 4 mounting holes that are 0.35" in diameter. The holes are not threaded.

I need at least 16 amps from the alternator (I have an electric clutch, etc). Can this 9 amp alternator be modified to provide 16 amps?

This engine's alternator cannot be modified to improve its amp output. Modifications to the engine or its alternator/charging system will void the manufacturer's warranty.

Does this motor come with engine oil?

The engine is shipped with out oil. Before starting the engine, make sure you add oil according the the instruction manual. Never start the engine with out oil, this will damage the engine and will not be covered under the manufacture's warranty.
