Product Summary

The Ashley Hearth Direct Vent LP Wall Heater with Venting is a space saving unit that provides a perfect solution for zoned heating. It mounts to an exterior wall, and the adjustable vent assembly adjusts to fit walls from 4 1/2in.–10in. thick. For clean, comfortable heat when and where you want it, the gas flame is completely sealed inside, away from all contact with room air. Only clean, gentle heat, in continuous circulation, is delivered into the room. Windows and doors stay closed because no room air is used for combustion. All venting required to install is included. No electricity needed.

  1. I am looking for a vented propane wall heater. The issue we are running into is that it will need to be able to vent through a 31/2 foot water tank room to three outside of the building. Is this possible with this unit?

  2. 1) What diameter stove pipe does this unit use for venting? 2) can you use room air like my other propane furnaces for conbustion?

    1. The pipe diameter is 6 inches. The venting pulls fresh air for combustion from outside the home.

    1. The heater will require a vent air intake pipe. Installation instructions are included. There is no blower available for the heater.

    1. The heater has a built in thermostat. It has heat settings from 1 to 5. The thermostat will cycle on and off to the set temperature.

  6. How long will the heater operate with 25 gallon propane tanks? I have 2 25 gallon tanks, but not a large propane tank.

    1. Per the manufacturer, this heater requires a minimum 100lb. tank for proper operation. It will burn roughly 33.6lbs (8 gallons) per day on the lowest setting when running constant.

  7. Is there a hose kit required to hook up to 20# propane tanks or is it included?

    1. This is recommended to be plumbed in by a professional with a hard gas pipe line and a sediment trap. Northern Tool does not sell all of the necessary hoses and adapters to properly hook this up to a propane source. Additional adapters may need to be purchased locally.

  9. Can the Ashley Hearth heater be used in a power outage? Also, I'm wondering if it has a blower option and does it come with everything I need for venting

    1. This heater can be run during a power outage. A blower option is not available. This will include all of the necessary venting needed to operate the heater.
