  1. Can this pump be used to pump hydraulic fluid out of a 5 gallon bucket?

    1. The pump will not work on a 5 gallon bucket. It is designed for a 15-55 gallon drum. The pump can be used for oil, ATF, hydraulic fluid, kerosene and diesel fluids.

  2. will this fit a plastic 55 gal drum? seems the "bung" on my drum is about 2.5 inches at the the threads.

    1. To use this pump with a plastic 55 gallon drum, the Zee Line buttress adapter, model 151 is required. This part is available through the manufacturer directly.

  3. Will this pump used motor oil up to 70 weight?

    1. The pump is recommended for light oils up to 40 weight maximum.

  4. Could this pump be used to transfer 35% Hydrogen Peroxide?

    If it does not, would you have a suggestion to pump 35% Hydrogen Peroxide with? Pump or Rotary would work. I receive product in a 15 gallon poly drum. Let me know what you think. Thank you.

    1. This particular pump is intended for light oils so it cannot be used to pump 35% Hydrogen Peroxide with. Zee Line, the manufacturer of this pump does offer a model 375 that can be used with Hydrogen Peroxide. At Northern Tool we do not sell this particular model but it can be obtained by contacting the manufacturer direct.

  5. will this pump molasses from a 55 gal barrel?

    we need to pump livestock molasses out of a 55 gal barrel to put on their feed. will this be able to handle something that thick?

    1. The Zee Line Hand Pump Model 381 will not work with propylene glycol.

    1. This Zee Line pump is not for water. Pumping water would dry the seals in the pump. We would recomend item number 109936 to pump water.

    1. This lever hand pump will work on your 15 gallon poly drum as long as it has a two inch male NPT threading.

    1. This pump is intended for use with diesel fuel. It is not recommended that it be used with gasoline.
