  3. Can you use this model to hone a straight razor?

    1. The Model WSKTS2 is not recommended to hone a straight razor. This is due to the curve and thickness of the blade on the razor. The spine of the blades are very thick and will have a built in knife guide for setting the angle to sharpen with a sharpening stone. You would not want to have uneven material on the blade.

  4. Is this any good for lathe tools?

    1. This knife & tool sharpener would be recommended for hunting, pocket, and kitchen knives, as well as serrations, scissors, axes, and other tools. It would not work for lathe tools, as the belted sharpeners will create a convex edge as opposed to a flat grind that lathe tools have.

  7. Where is the tension screw on this product?

    1. The tension screw on the Work Sharp Knife & Tool Sharpener Mk.2 (Model WSKTS2) is located on the side of the sharpener. To adjust the tension, you need to push the tensioner down and rotate it clockwise by a quarter turn to lock it in place.

    1. This sharpener can be used to sharpen hedge clippers. Some smaller axes and hatchets could also be sharpened with this. Larger axes may require a sharpening stone.
