  2. DO YOU JUST RUN A JUMPER WIRE TO A BATTERY? TO POWER THE PUMP?

    1. For temporary wiring, connect the black and red power cords to the vehicle battery using alligator clips. For permanent wiring, connect the black and red power cords to the vehicle battery using terminal rings. For a negative ground system, first disconnect the vehicle’s ground wire, and then wire as follows: Insert one end of the fuse (J) into the wire connector (H) and crimp. Insert the red power cord wire into the other end of the wire connector and crimp. Make sure the fuse is positioned outside of hazardous areas and as close to the battery as possible. Make a solid electrical connection to the grounded side of the battery with the remaining black wire. Connecting directly to the battery terminal or the end of the battery cable is recommended.
