  1. In case my water supply temporarily 'dries up', does this pump have automatic shut-off?

    1. NO.

    2. no it doesn't. if water supply goes dry motor will run until it heats up and locks up

    3. This item does not have a shutoff that will keep the pump from running dry. Do not run the pump dry or damage will occur and will void the warranty.

    1. I spoke to the Wayne mfg. rep. and found out that all pumps are made in China; however, this brand seems to stand out from the rest. I bought two others, one shot our sparks after two months and the exact replacement started leaking as soon as I hooked it up. This one seems to be built pretty solid.

    1. The pump would be suitable for operating lawn sprinklers. It would not work with a well that is 35ft deep. It has a maximum depth of 25ft.
