Is this pump self-priming?

The pump is self priming once it is submerged into the water and the water level starts the pump.

When the pump is placed in a sump pit and water is introduced through the discharge piping into the pit the pump will prime itself.
Sump pumps do not have a specific port to let water in-ours have multiple openings in the volute above the impeller to let the water in and be pumped out.Helpful?

Does Model# CDU800 come with an electrical cord?
Is there a check valve that prevents flow back into the pump and pool that goes with this model?

The pump comes with an electrical cord but not with a check valve to prevent flow back. You can get a check valve at any hardware store & install it very easly.

Can it pump dirty water?
I get sand and silt in my pit from heavy clay soil can this pump be used in dirty murky water with debris like sand and silt? If so what is the largest debris it can pass?

Is this pump fit for recirculating a fountain water which is inside a 12 inches deep pool ?
I have a overground pool 12 inches deep and with a 3 tier fountain 70 inches tall in the center of pool.
I need a submersible pump to recirculate water from pool to fountain. queations:
1- is this pump good for this purpose if not what other you suggest ?
2- Does the pump fit in 12 inch pool depth or need a pump sump.1 answer-
This pump is not good for recirculating water because it is not a continuous duty pump. I would suggest a fountain pump and I have listed a few options below.
