Product Summary

The Wayne WSS30Vn is a basement protection system combination epoxy coated steel and cast iron back up and primary system. This 1/2 HP and 12VDC is ultra quiet, tested to 1,000,000 cycles (primary pump only), and comes pre-assembled for easy installation. The 'smart charging' battery backup pump that will bring your battery back to full charge. This battery backup provides 6 hours of continuous pumping power and is a perfect addition to any sump system. A Wayne WSB1275 battery is recommended, not included.

    1. You would need to contact a local technician to have the sump pump professionally installed.

  2. How long will the backup pump / battery last without AC power?

    1. The battery would last approximately 6-8 hours intermittently, if coming on consistently, it could lower the time to approximately 4-6 hours.

  3. If the primary pump is simply overwhelmed will the backup pump also operate simultaneously to evacuate the pit?

    1. The DC back up pump will come on when the water level rises high enough to activate the float switch. The back up pump will run off of a 12 volt battery. This pump will operate whether there is AC power available or not. It is mechanically independent. It does share the same discharge pipe.

    1. This sump pump system will still require a check valve to ensure that water does not flow back into the pit when the pump switches off.

    1. The flow rate on the secondary pump at 0 feet is 2700 GPH, at 5 feet it is 2100 GPH, at 10 feet it is 1500 GPH and at 15 feet it is 660 GPH.
