The Victor® G150 Series J-CPT Portable Welding Tote Kit is used for a variety of oxyfuel brazing, steel cutting and light-duty welding applications. The new tote design features a plastic carrying case, an ergonomic handle, built-in storage space and a functional, balanced design. This unit is ideal for HVAC and light fabrication applications. Built-in storage compartments help you keep your consumables and other accessories right at-hand for quick, easy access. Includes the J28 Welding Handle, CA 1260 Cutting Attachment, 0-W-J Nozzle, 2-W-J Nozzle, Oxygen Regulator, Fuel Regulator, 12 1/2ft. Dual 3/16in. Hose, Goggles, Check Valve, StrikerTank Key and tanks.

  1. Is this good for working on log trailers and trucks? Cutting leaf springs out and things like that

    1. The portable kit is designed for light duty work. It may be underpowered for working on log trailers and large trucks.

  2. What are the regulators made of? Plastic or metal

    1. The regulators are made of metal and the knobs on the regulators is plastic. The gauges are made of galvanized steel with a plastic face cover.

  3. I don’t understand the cutting thickness that this kit can cut. Can it really cut steel 5 inches thick? That doesn’t make sense to me.  Does it include everything needed to cut steel

    1. This kit does have a cutting capacity of 5" and would come with everything needed to cut steel.

  4. Are the tanks D.O.T certified? If not I can't exchange them at my local gas provider.

    1. The tanks are stamped DOT certified.

  5. Is one tank for oxygen and the other for propane? They appear to be different sizes; what are the sizes of the tanks? Thanks

    1. The oxygen tank is a type R 20 cubic feet. The acetylene tank is type MC 10 cubic feet.

  6. I have a question when I buy the kit , the tanks are empty or full? Or I have to fill the tanks with gas somewhere else?

    1. The tanks are empty. You will need to take them locally to be filled.
