  1. is this for mounting on the ground or on van? And if van where can it be mounted.

    1. This truck crane is designed to be mounted in the back of a pickup truck. It can lift items from the ground to van floor height.

  2. Does the vertical column go straight up from the base?

    It's hard to distinguish from the photos but does the main vertical column extend straight up from the base? In other words, is there a tilt/lean even a little bit from being perpendicular to the base plate? It's important as I'm installing in a very tight position.

    1. The vertical column on this product goes straight up from the base so there is no tilt to it.

  3. What is the shortest length the boom can be positioned?

    The boom length is listed as 45 3/4 inch but it appears to be in the extended or most swiveled out position. Can this boom be swiveled back to shorten the overall length and if so, what is the shortest dimension/length the boom can be?

    1. The boom can be swiveled back. The shortest usable length that the boom can be is 41 7/8".
