  1. How does the noise level of the 30in fan compare to the 24in fan Some coments indicated the 24in fan was noisy

    1. Since I don't have nor used the 30" fan I can't compare, but under my 24" fan I can say it sounds much like a box fan. One room away (20') I can barely here it and in my kitchen two rooms away I don't even know its on other than a nice breeze.

    2. The 30 inch Whole House Fan has the same decibel rating as the 24 inch fan. The decibel rating is 50-55. A normal conversation is approximately 45 decibels.

  2. Do you offer an insulation package for these for Winter season?

    We live in New England so we would want to keep heat loss to a minimum in the Winter obviously. It does not look like the louvers would do much for that.

    What is the Max. dims. of the shutter assembly so I can see What size fan shutters will fit between my hall walls?

    1. This 30 inch whole house fan requires an opening of 32 1/4" X 29 1/2".

  5. Do the shutters automatically open when the fan is on, and auto close when the fan is turned off?

    1. When mounted horizontally, the shutters open when the fan is on and shut when the fan is off.

  6. Can I order the shutter assembly only?

    I am trying to replace my old ceiling mounted shutter assembly that is leaking air because it has a few bent louvers and is very old. My shutter measures 32 1/2" X 33". this measurement is the outside dimensions.

    1. We do not currently offer the shutter assembly separately. Individual parts may be available through the manufacturer.

  7. How many CFMs does this fan have?Model#BD-30-2-WHS

    Is there any installations instructions online for fan and damper? How does the damper install without cutting joists,in my case trusses?

    1. The Air Delivery (CFM) is 5,400 or 7,800.
