The rugged Ultra-Tow Spring Trailer Axle with adjustable spring mounts features Fast Lube spindles that allow you to re-grease the bearings without removing the hubs (hubs not included). Stainless steel wear sleeves prevent rust from wearing on the rubber oil seal. Adjustable spring mounts offer a variety of mounting positions. Square tube steel axle is hot dip galvanized, has adjustable spring centers and can be under- or overslung. Axle includes castle nuts, cotter pins and washers. Made in the U.S.A.

  1. What length is bearing surface only? Not including thread/seal area. Previous Q&A states square tube alone was 54” long which only leaves 2.5”/side for hub on 59” axle. Castle nut size? Thanks

    1. The length of the bearing surface without the thread/seal is 3.38". The bearings are 1.0625". The castle nut is 1"-14.

  2. What's the spindle size?

    1. The spindle measures 4-13/16" long overall. This is measured from the end of the threaded section to the end of the 1-1/4" diameter seal section. It measures 3-3/8" long not including the threaded end. The diameter of the spindle is 1-1/16".

  3. How long is the round axle stem? I need 4" replacing a 59" an 1.5"square overall length axle will this work?

    1. The smaller diameter section of the spindle measures 4.18" to the very end of the spindle (including threads).

  4. I have hubs on hand that have 1 1/16" bearings, but their grease seal is 1 1/2". Will those work with this axle, which has a 1 1/4" grease seal? Thanks

    1. The seal size should also match up to prevent any grease from leaking too much.

    1. If used without hubs, the spindle on this axle requires wheels with a 1-1/16" inner and outer bearing bore diameter.
