  3. Could this pump be connected to a external pressure tank ?

    I would like to put a submersible pump into my 5000 gal storage tank, and have a small 4 gal pressure tank to supply 20 psi water pressure. I would have a 20 psi electrical shutoff switch in series with the motor.
    Would this pump work to supply 20 psi / 10 GPM system?

The Tsurumi Submersible Water Pump has an output rating of 3810 gallons per hour (63.5 gallons per minute) and thereby would not be an ideal fit for a system running at 10 gallons per minute without some modification, such as a feeder tank that the pump could fill and then have the tank gravity feed the lower flow pressure tank system.

  4. can this pump be converted to a battery in my truck?

    1. This pump is an AC 110 volt pump. An inverter could be used to change the current from a truck battery/electric system from DC 12 Volt to AC 110 volt to power something like this pump. The inverter would have to be capable of handling the wattage and amperage requirements of this pump.

  5. the right water pump

    I have a seasonal creek when running is a couple of feet deep. I have an adjacent stock pond(25 ft head) that I would like to pump water into. I do have power available

    1. The Tsurumi Submersible Water Pump is designed to move clean, clear water. If you would like to use a submersible in a creek, Northern recommends using a trash pump, which can handle small solids and debris that may be present in the creek. See link below.

  7. why can this not be used in a fish pond

    1. This Tsurumi Pumps submersible water pump is manufactured with oil that will harm fish.

      However, the oil can be removed and replaced with an FDA approved non-toxic oil, not harmful to fish.
