    1. This pump does not need to be submerged permanently. It does need to operate in an upright position. It cannot be used horizontally.

    Need to pump a bunch of sand/silt out of a pond. Need to push it about 200', up a 20' incline.

    1. It is not recommended to let sand and silt run through this pump continuously, it will wear the pump out prematurely.

    1. This pump does not come with a float switch but there is one made for it that Northern does carry. See item below.

  6. can i get a two inch discharge for this pump?

    i would really like a 2in discharge for the bigger pump could this be done ?

    1. A 2" discharge port for this sand/trash pump is not available. Also, reducing the outlet from 3" down to 2" with couplers/fittings is not advisable as it will create too much back pressure and damage the pump. Click the links below to view similar pumps with 2" ports.
