Features cast bearings and zinc-plated hardware. Folding crank handle. Works with the Rear Anti-Sail Tarp Retention Bow Kit (Item# 331873, sold separately), which telescopes to exactly fit bed width (Item# 331873 is required for all new installations or to replace an entire existing system).

    Is the handle you wind up with attatched to the bar or is there a chain connected to it and mounted lower?

    1. The handle is directly attached to the end of the roller, there is not a chain drive.

  2. on item#331870 or a dtr7015

    is the tarp spring loaded or do you lock manual retract arm down to hold tension on tarp? is there a bracket at rear of truck to hold bar or is it just by bungy cord? on windy day is this a two man job to pull tarp back? sorry,don't want to seem ignorant but i can't tell by picture.

    1. You must lock the crank handle in position to hold tension on the tarp, but there is a lock lever included, and it is very simple to use. There is no bracket to hold the tarp at the rear of the truck, but the two bungee cords that are shipped with the kit work very well, especially if you connect them and then put tension on the tarp with the crank. If you have the mesh tarp, it is not difficult to pull, even in the wind, although the rear anti-sail bar makes it even easier. i highly recommend purchasing it with the tarp roller kit. This is a very simple, user friendly system; we have been very happy with it.

    2. One person can pull back the tarp on a windy day.
      The tarp is tension loaded.
      You may hook with bungees or a tarp retention bow kit (see my recommendation below).

  3. I have a dump trailer that is 82X14, will this one fit?

    1. The kit fits lengths of 8' to 12'.

  4. The inside width of my dump truck body is 85.5 inches. Will this tarp work or do I need the 7.5 foot version?

    1. You would want the 7.5 foot version, item #331871 for your truck at 85.5 inches.

  5. The outside width of my trailer is 83 9/16 by 12' in length. Is this 7' X15' the corret one for my trailer?
