The TPI Shutter-Mounted Direct Drive Exhaust Fan is designed to exhaust stale air from rooms, barns, garages or small enclosed work areas. Can be installed from inside wall, eliminating the need for external framing and shutter. Totally enclosed 120V direct drive motor has 2 speeds and is permanently lubricated. 1/4 HP motor features pull chain switch, aluminum blades and steel spiral guards.

  1. Can this be linked with both a thermostat and/or a motorized inlet shutter?

    1. This fan is not designed for use with a thermostat or a motorized inlet shutter. The motor features a pull-chain on/off switch. The shutters automatically open and close when the fan is turned on and off.

    1. The rough-in hole size for the Shutter-Mounted Direct Drive Exhaust Fan is 1/2" larger than the blade size of the fan itself. With the 20 inch fan, Rough in hole would be 20-1/2 inches x 20-1/2 inches.

    1. To calculate rough hole size for exhaust fans, it would be one half inch larger than fan BLADE size.
