    Can this be wired to operate with a single zone mini-split system?

    1. This unit does not wire into a single zone mini-split system directly but can operate in conjunction with a mini-split system to bring air in from another room. It can be wired to a wall light switch to turn it on and off.

  2. Can this unit be run 24/7

    I've got a dehumidifier that pulls air from the upper level of my house across the basement and out through a vent in the basement wall. Between the dehumidifier and the upper level vents is a wall that requires a 100 Square inch vent. I have concerns that the vent may not be sufficient to pull enough air into the room where the dehumidifier unit operates. This would require a ventilation fan that can run virtually 24/7.

  3. What are the dimension of the blower AS1?

    I need to mount in a wall but it is not standard 16" OC studs so I 'd like to know the actual dimensions of the unit. Can I move air up or down from room to room? e.g. can the air discharge above or below the fan? Please clarify, and many thanks.

    1. The width dimension of the blower grill is 15 3/4" (flush). The rough opening is 13 7/8" wide.
      The width of the diffuser is 15 1/8" (flush). The rough opening is 13 5/8" wide.
      Air can be moved up or down from one room to another, but not from one floor to another. Air can be discharged either above or below the blower.

  6. auto feature

    I am looking for a fan that will turn on when a temp is reached and turn off when the temp drops below a temp.

    Does this have an auto feature like this? If so what are the on and off temp settings?

    1. This room-to-room ventilator does not include a thermostat to control when it turns on and off; however, a 120 volt thermostat or a wall switch is required. At this time, Northern Tool does not offer a thermostat or switch for this ventilator. One could be obtained through the manufacturer or locally. Having a certified electrician complete the installation is recommended.
