  1. Is the blower always running when switched to on?

    Is this blower automatic? Will the fan continue to run when my heat/ac is on and off or does it have some kind of sensor that triggers it to turn on?

    1. It runs non stop the switch in between the fins of vent.

    2. Actuate with On/Off switch located underneath Grille. A remote on/off switch or programmable timer, available at most do-it-yourself hardware stores may be utilized with the Register Booster. Optional SCP speed control is also available from Tjernlund if desired.

  2. FIRST Question of 2: ....For 1st floor installation....Can the extension cord be run down to the basement and pluged in down there? SECOND Question: ....What color is the floor cover? Is it already painted or is it bare metal ?

    1. You may be able to plug the unit into a basement depending on where the outlet is. The unit would not be recommended to be used with an extension cord. It does arrive with a paintable commercial grade grill. The grill is brown as shown on the image online.

    I plan to use it with a wood stove and have had other fans fail due to high temperatures

    1. The highest temperature that this unit can withstand is 80 degrees.

  5. Can these registers be used as floor registers or only for floor registers?for

    1. These units are intended for floor registers, since gravity holds it in the register opening. It could be used in another vent opening as long as it was braced properly during installation and as long as an outlet for power is nearby.
