The SunStar Heating Products Ceramic Heater is ideal for spot heating or area heating of remote locations, farm buildings, shops, service areas, pump houses or other hard-to-heat spaces, providing both fuel efficiency of radiant heat and installation flexibility (not recommended for car washes). This is an energy-saving Direct Spark Ignition heater and can be controlled by a line voltage or 24V thermostat (sold separately). May require the following second stage regulators prior to the heater based on gas supply pressure: A regulator up to 2 PSIG line pressure or a regulator above 2 PSIG line pressure (both sold separately). NOT CERTIFIED OR APPROVED FOR RESIDENTIAL USE. Indoor use only. U.S.A.

NOTE: Please review the detailed Installation Operating Instructions (attached) for other specific installation requirements (gas pressure, ventilation etc.) prior to purchasing the heater.

  2. I don't understand what you mean about account second stage regulator, does it come with a gas regulator?

    1. This heater is equipped with a snap-opening, combination gas valve. The maximum supply pressure to the appliance is 14” W.C. or 1/2 P.S.I. It would require the regulator rated for up to 2 PSIG, part number 3307260, or a regulator rated above 2 PSIG, part number 3483070, depending on the maximum supply pressure when heater is installed. Both items can be purchased through the manufacturer directly.

    1. This heater is designed for natural gas only. The propane version is item 16298.

  4. Ignitor

    We are looking for a heater that has 75,000 btu and we need the controller to be in line with the other units that we currently use. Can these be set up to be turned on/off by a switch?

    1. This particular heater can be hooked in line with your existing heaters and be turned on/off with a switch. This heater being only 60,000 BTUs is less than the 75,000 BTUs that you are looking for. I will list a heater below that can be turned on/off with a switch and meets your BTU requirement.

    1. The SunStar ceramic heater does not have a direct venting option for venting pipe, the building this unit is installed in requires venting. For example installing exhaust fans in the building this unit is installed in should be sufficient enough for venting.
