The SunStar Heating Products Ceramic Heater is ideal for spot heating or area heating of remote locations, farm buildings, shops, service areas, pump houses or other hard-to-heat spaces, providing both fuel efficiency of radiant heat and installation flexibility (not recommended for car washes). This is an energy-saving Direct Spark Ignition heater and can be controlled by a line voltage or 24V thermostat (sold separately). May require the following second stage regulators prior to the heater based on gas supply pressure: A regulator up to 2 PSIG line pressure or a regulator above 2 PSIG line pressure (both sold separately). NOT CERTIFIED OR APPROVED FOR RESIDENTIAL USE. Indoor use only. U.S.A.

NOTE: Please review the detailed Installation Operating Instructions (attached) for other specific installation requirements (gas pressure, ventilation etc.) prior to purchasing the heater.

    1. The heater could not be installed on an 8 foot ceiling. It would not be able to meet the required clearances.

    1. This heater does not come with additional nozzles to increase the BTU output.

    1. This heater can be used in Unvented mode. The term Unvented actually means Indirect Vented. While the products of combustion are expelled into the building, national codes require ventilation in the building to dilute these products of combustion. This ventilation may be provided by gravity or mechanical means.

    1. There is not a conversion kit available for propane usage. Recommended item 16293 will be 32,000 BTU in propane.

  5. How is this heater mounted to a wall?

    1. This heater can be mounted to a wall by using angle brackets. These brackets can be found at a local hardware store. When mounting off the wall you will want to follow the recommended clearances from any combustible material. These clearances are 37" above, 73" below, 20" from the rear and 31" from the sides of the heater.

  6. Does this heater require electric to work or can it be manually lit?

    Does this heater require electric to work or can it be manually lit? there is no electric available where i want to use the heater. I was wondering if i could use a grill igniter to light this heater?

    1. This SunStar heater will require 120 volt electricity to operate. We have Mr. Heater brand infrared heaters that will operate without electricity (see below).
