  1. It says electronic ignition. Does it have a push button start?

    1. To start the chainsaw, place the chainsaw on the ground. Make sure that the chain brake is engaged. Maintain good balance and secure footing. Grip the front handlebar of the saw firmly with your left hand and press down. With your right hand pull the starter grip slowly until you feel definite resistance. And then proceed with a brisk pull. The electronic ignition controls the ignition timing and fuel delivery.

  2. What’s the smallest bar and chain that can be used with the Stihl MS 250

    1. The smallest bar and chain you can put on this chainsaw is 12". You would need to change the 325 drive sprocket on it to put that size on it. The smallest you can put on it without needing the change the drive sprocket would be 16".

  3. what is 0.325 chain pitch?

    1 answer

    1. The chain pitch is the size of the chain and is determined by the distance between any three consecutive rivets divided by 2. Chainsaws are made in several different chain pitches. This saw would require a replacement chain that is 0.325 pitch, 0.063 chain gauge with 68 drive lengths. See our item #4327385 for a replacement chain to fit this chainsaw.
