The LimbSaw Limbinator Hydraulic Bucket Chainsaw is an innovative tree trimming attachment that uses the height and hydraulic power of a tractor with front-end loader to create a trimmer that is quiet, safe and environmentally friendly without sacrificing power and usability. It mounts to the front-end loader's bucket and connects to an auxiliary hydraulic hookup for power. The 20in. bar, 0.325in. pitch saw sits on an 8ft. steel mast that gives you an 18ft.–21ft. reach, when used with a fully extended loader bucket, and operates at 5,000 RPM. Because the Limbinator uses hydraulic power instead of a gas engine, the only sound it makes comes from the spinning chain and the operator can worry less about falling limbs from the safety of a tractor seat.

  1. Do I benefit in any way of getting 1/2 inch lines rather than 3/8? Is the 2nd hydraulic hose for reversing the saw?

    1. Since the LS8 motor and standard fittings are engineered around 3/8" requirements, jumping to 1/2" lines provides no increase in cutting power or chain RPM. The flow rate is ultimately restricted by the smallest component or port size in the system. The second hydraulic hose serves as the return line back to your tractor or loader's hydraulic system.

    1. This is designed to fit most tractors that have a hydraulic system flow rate of at least 7 GPM. You may want to verify with the manufacturer of your tractor this would work.

  6. how much hydraulic oil will have to be replace after an hour of use?

    1. How much hydraulic oil that would need to be replaced would depend on how much the saw was used in 1 hour. For example, 7 gallons per minute x 60 minutes of continual use is 420 gallons recirculating fluid because it's a closed circuit. If the oiler is adjusted correctly to the equipment, then hardly any would be used.
