This Stihl MS 271 Farm Boss® Gas-Powered Chainsaw is a high performance, fuel-efficient chainsaw that comes loaded with features and technology. It starts with a highly efficient engine that delivers 20% longer run times between refueling, while cutting exhaust emissions in half (comparisons made to the Stihl MS 270 chainsaw.) There's also a pre-separation air filtration system that's so effective, your air filter can last up to 5 times longer than previous Stihl models. The technology is all engineered into one compact, ergonomic design.

    1. Stihl recommends several options of bar and chain combinations ranging from 16-20 inches. Stihl does not recommend use of bars longer than 20 inches.

    1. The electronic ignition would built in electronic circuits that give you a high voltage spark for a lean mixture of the gas, improved fuel economy, reduced emissions and any easier start.

    1. The maximum bar length to be used on this chainsaw is 20". The chain length, pitch and gauge need to match the bar. Currently, this chain saw has a 20" bar, 0.325 chain pitch and 0.063 chain gauge.
