    1. This chainsaw would not be compatible with the AP 300 batteries. The chainsaw is compatible with the AK 20 or AK 30 batteries. See our item #75255 for the AK 30 battery.

  6. HOW DO I INSTALL THE BAR AND CHAIN

    1. To install the bar and chain on your Stihl MSA 60 C-B chainsaw, first remove the battery for safety. Turn the big black knob on the side to take off the cover. Slide the guide bar onto the saw, then loop the chain around the front sprocket and into the groove of the bar, making sure the sharp teeth point forward on the top side. Put the cover back on and lightly tighten the knob. Use the small dial behind the knob to tighten the chain until it’s snug but still moves by hand. Finally, fully tighten the knob to secure everything.

    1. Stihl does not manufacturer a carrying case for the battery operated saws.

  8. Is a different charger required if upgrading the battery to the AP500S?

    1. The Stihl AP and AK batteries are not interchangeable. The AP batteries are designed for professional grade Stihl tools as the AK batteries are designed for consumer grade Stihl tools. The AP batteries are larger and have a higher capacity.
