  2. I have a 11/2 HP booster pump that is in-between a water storage tank and two pressure tanks to feed house water. Can I use this pump , even though its a sprinkler pump ? for a back up replacement ?

    1. It would not be recommended to use the pump for a booster pump application. The pump is designed for high volume not a high pressure application.

  3. I am looking for a pump to pump down a small pond when it gets to full of water. There is a fair amount of organic material in the pond. Can this pump handle this organic material or must it be finely screened first?

    1. This pump could be used to move water from a pond. The intake should be screened to prevent solids from being pulled into the pump and causing damage.

  5. We have a creek on our property that has water for 2-3 days after a rain. I need a pump that can run continuously for 48-72 hours before the creek dries up again. How long can this pump run before it overheats or otherwise needs a break?

    1. This is a commercial pump and is rated for continuous use. Provided there is adequate ventilation to the pump area it can run continuously without the need for a break.

  8. Want to make sure model # HSP20P1 has bough 120 and 230 voltage connections. Bought Red Lion pump. On your website kt says has 120 and 230v connections, but in reality just 230v.

    1. This pump can be wired to run on 115/120 or 230 volt. See page 16 of the product manual online.

  9. Will go still get the same performance if you reduce inlet and outlet to 3/4” ?

    1. You would not get the same performance from this pump if the inlet and outlet were reduced to 3/4". Reducing the suction port on this Star Water Systems sprinkler pump is not recommended by the manufacturer. This would greatly limit the capabilities of the pump. Reducing the discharge port side only would still have an impact on the GPM performance for this pump too.

    Can this pump be operated in continuous mode for several hours without tripping the heat overload?

    1. Running the pump for several hours should not trip the thermal overload unless there is a problem in pumps operation.
