  1. Is this a locking mount?

    1. Some Spare tire mounts come with a lock and special brackets. The brackets are threaded and screw on top of the two tire bolts. You screw them on till the holes line up at the top of the brackets. Then lock together with lock provided or your own. Some tire carriers include a locking setup. Usually this information is included in product spec's. Try looking for a Tire Carrier with a lock.

  2. What is the measurement from center to center of the u-bolt?

    1. The measurement of the U-bolt from center to center at the bottom is 4.16". At the top of the U-bolt the center to center measurement is 3.06".

    1. The nuts are zinc and they are 7/16"-20 threads.

    1. The spare tire carrier is 7/16" U bolts that will fit a trailer tongue up to 3". It will fit wheels from 8 - 14" in diameter and most 15" wheels. It will fit 4 or 5 lug wheels. This will include the u bolt and the nuts.
