  1. Does this product come with a set of Battery (Aligator) Clips to directly connect to a 12V Battery

    1. No it does not, just the pump and housing as pictured.

    2. This SHURflo On-Demand Diaphragm Pump does not include alligator type power clips. This unit comes with 2 pin connectors on power leads to connect to a 12 volt power source.

  2. How many horizontal feet can this pump?

    I need a pump to pump insectisides from a barrel maybe 100' or so under houses (crawl space) to treat for termites. I assume that I could use a 3/8" diameter hose for this pump but was wandering if it will pump that distance. if not what would you recommend? Thank you for your time.

    1. I would use a pump with a higher GPM to be sure you had the volume. I have used a 3 Gpm Shurflow with 50 ft of hose to spray trees and it had plenty of volume and pressure. Shure flo makes 1 -2 -3 Gpm pumps....

    2. The farther you go the less pressure you will get. This may go that distance but you would be compromising your pressure. I would suggest going up a step to the pump listed below:

  3. What is the maximum PSI it can be set to?

  4. Is there a suggested power source for this pump

    We will be using these 5 of these pumps to run sprayers in an agricultural process. Is there a suggested power supply set up that can supply all of the pumps?

    1. For 5 pumps, you will need to supply 12 vdc at a minimum current capacity of about 23 amps. This could be accomplished with a deep-cycle lead acid battery for a short time (dependent on the battery's rating), but a standard battery with an alternator will likely be needed for many agricultural applications. Check the rating on the alternator - 23 amps continuous duty might be too much for smaller alternators.

    2. The pumps are designed to be powered on a 12v supply. It comes with battery leads that are usually connected to an atv or tractor battery. We do not offer any additional setups to power multiple pumps.

  5. What does it mean to be "self priming to X feet"?

    I noticed this in one of the specs for the SHURFLO pumps, and I'm sure this relates to other diaphragm pumps. Will these pumps create a suction even if there is no initial fluid?

    1. Yes, the pumps will pull the liquid up the stated number of feet so long as the fluid is free to flow (no vacuum or sub-atmospheric pressure condition exits beyond what would normally be encountered). Also consider that the "self priming" action may not be as fast as some users would like. If delays are unacceptable, the pump may have to be located below the fluid tank.

    1. yes it should be OK but flush it out with fresh water to be safe....

  9. Please explain the meaning of "on-demand" .

    1. ON DEMAND means that when you open the valve or spray nozzle and the pressure in the system drops the pump will automatically start pumping, and when you close the valve or spry nozzle and the pressure builds the pump shuts off automatically, controlled by a built in pressure switch..

    2. On-Demand means the pump activates when the trigger on a spray wand is pulled and will maintain the air pressure required to pump fluid to wand when needed.
