We appreciate your inquiry. This machine has a capacity for 22-gauge steel. The main issue lies in the jaw opening width—1/8” thick aluminum is far too thick to fit, and we would not recommend using material of that thickness with this machine.

Alignment
Is the metal to be bent or sheared easy to align?

You would measure and mark the material at both ends and insert into the machine at markings and either bend or shear the material. The Shop Fox Machine is easy to operate.
