  1. is this pump strong enough to run a sprinkler for a garden?

    1. Oh yes that is what I mostly use mine for is for my farm 200 feet away

    2. This pump is supplying 1585 gallons per hour which is about 3 times the flow of a normal water faucet. However, if it were to be used as a sprinkler pump it would have to be adapted to 3/4 or 5/8" hose. Restricting the output on this pump that much may result in an extremely short service life and is not recommended.

  3. Can I have a shut off valve at the end of my 1" discharge hose to go from tree to tree without shutting off engine?

    1. No, that would not be a good idea, when running it is pumping water and that water needs to flow, maybe you could slow the flow very briefly but I would not completely stop the flow.

    2. When using this pump, a shut off valve cannot be installed on the end of the discharge hose. If you need to stop the water flow, the pump needs to be turned off.

  6. From the head 23 elevation 23 distance

    From the creek it is approximately 4 feet to the suction side pump and from the head side to top of the hill It's about 200 feet with a incline to a elevation of 25 feet and another 150 feet flat ground to my garden site. Will this pump move the water to my garden?

    2. Being the water pumps will only provide a total head of 85 feet, this will only provide a pressurized flow for approximately 80 feet from the pump. We are unable to provide a pump with this length of discharge.

    What is the correct adapter threads and sizes from the 1" pump to a standard 3/4" garden hose and where can I purchase the adapter?

    1. One inch all worked for me but I also reduced to standard garden hose fitting--All Good

    2. The fitting is a 1" NPT thread. The fitting would be readily available within a plumbing department.

  8. Pump out swimming pool.

    Can this pump be used to pump out an algae clogged swimming pool?

    1. You need a trash or semi-trash pump. A clear water pump will clog with any debris in the water. Even a couple leaves will lead to problems with any clear water pump.

    2. This Wel-Bilt pump is intended for clear water applications, I recommend using a semi-trash pump with a suction strainer.

  9. Can this pump pump from a well? How deep?

    1. Probably not the right tool for the job. Under perfect conditions, the pump has a 23' draft. Perfect conditions is perfect seals on the suction side with no leaks. A pinhole leak on the draft side and you'd be lucky to pull 8'. That's how all your gas-powered pumps will be.
