  1. can this hose be used for suction to recover used motor oil?

    1. This hose cannot be used for suction to recover used motor oil. Please view Roughneck Oil Extractor item #42610 for a product that is suited for this application.

  2. Is the fluid end stainless steel all the way through?

    1. The material of the fitting is white zinc plated carbon steel. It is not stainless steel.

  3. Can i use it on 1400psi pressure washer ?

    1. This hose is rated for up to 2000 psi for use with oil. The fittings are not designed for use with pressure washer systems. Pressure washers commonly use 3/8" or 22mm fittings. This has a 1/2" fitting. This hose could be used with a 1400 psi pressure washer with the proper fittings. Northern Tool does not offer the fittings that would allow this hose to be used for pressure washing.

    1. This hose is suitable and designed for use with Glycol and lubrication oil. It should not be used with flammable or corrosive liquids. Diesel and kerosene may shorten the life of the hose.

  5. Do the hose/reel use the same fittings as common garden hoses?

    Would this hose reel be a suitable heavy-duty alternative to the hose reels sold in garden centers, which are flimsy and leaky?

    1. This product has 1/2" NPT fittings and garden hoses have 3/4 inch fittings. This hose and reel can be used in situations where the auto rewind is desired and the 50' long 1/2" diameter hose is enough.
